Kwame Opoku promises more goals for Asante Kotoko in second round

Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has pledged to deliver even more for the club as the second half of the 2024/25 season approaches.

The prolific forward recently rejoined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-and-a-half-year deal after successful spells in Algeria and Morocco.

Opoku has already made an impressive impact, netting five goals in just four games towards the end of the first round of the season.

In an interview with Asempa FM, the former Nkronza Warriors star expressed confidence in his form, hinting that fans can expect even greater performances as he works on reaching peak fitness.

“There is more to come from me. It is just the beginning,” he told Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.

“I have so far scored five goals in four games and so as the season goes on, the fitness level will come,” he added.

Asante Kotoko wrapped up the first round in third place on the league table with 31 points.

The Porcupine Warriors will aim to maintain their strong form as they prepare to host Karela United, who are battling relegation, in a Matchday 18 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium.
