Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has missed out on becoming the head coach of Sudan after the Sudan Football Association make final shortlist.

The Sudan football governing body have shortlisted Belgian trainer Ronny Van Geneugden and Frenchman Hubert Velud for the vacant role.

In the next 48 hours, one of the shortlisted coaches will be named the new head coach of Sudan replacing Zdravko Logarusic whose contract wasn’t renewed after its expiration in December 2019.

The 59-year-old was in advanced negotiations with the Sudan Football Association over a possible takeover of the vacant national team job.
