Lack of support caused my depression – Dada K.D

In recent times, most Ghanaian musicians have suffered from various issues of depression with some recovering from it and more still suffering from it.

Ghanaian highlife musician, Dada Kwaku Duah, known in music circles as Dada K. D has also admitted that he has also suffered some bouts of depression.

According to him, the depression he is suffering from is all because of the lack of support in the Ghanaian music scene.

Some posts on his Facebook page read;

“I decided to keep it cool that day due to the mere fact that I have always known you to be detractor more than just a common foe and a wolf in disguise but trust that I have seen it all..No any wonder I have a rope to chance on suicidal because you have dented enough on my career more enough than just a modern desperate blogger.

You have made my life tatse sour every hour in trying hard enough to thrive in a nose diving economal situation!. Oh damn.”

“Those who wish me dead and still insult me in this times of my depression, I pray unflagginly that, may my departure keep ypu all alive till end of time! .. Mmo de3 Mmopkyen Bo)! You have no substance, where’s the love?.. “

He made this revelation in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s Doctar Cann on ‘Showbiz Xtra’. “I have done well and done everything I can about my music but the only thing I need now is the support. We all need that and I have suffered a lot and that is sad. I am so dispirited.”

He noted that people think he has great songs and all that but “what they don’t know is that I have no supoort in the music scene and that is killing me.”

Dada K.D went on to clarify that his depression doesn’t mean he is going to commit suicide.

On his authority, he does not understand why people are still hating on him and preventing him from doing well in the music industry. “The false negativity destroying my career is bad. All musicians need to be supported.

The musician prayed for long life for his detractors just for them to see him succeed.
