Leaked VIDEO: How Tamale Central MP voted in Approval of Ministerial Nominees

A video has emerged on social media with a voice purported to be that of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed voting against the six(6) Ministerial Nominees of President Akufo-Addo.

In the said video, that has the main character is heard indicating how he voted and thereafter, dropped the ballot into the box for counting.

His refusal to confirm the nominees is reechoed as he ticks ‘NO” for all 6 nominees while saying “This is how I voted. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed…this one No, No, No, No, No, this one No…this is how I voted and I record”

The video emerges at a time the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is yet to come to terms with the shock of some MPs from the minority side voting to approve the nominee against the stance of the party.

Former President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday, March 25, 2023, expressed disappointment in the minority over what he termed betrayal of Ghanaians and the party who trusted they were going to put the party in check.

He observed that some NDC MPs chose their parochial and personal interest above the interest of Ghanaians by defying the directive of party leadership to approve the Ministerial nominees.

“Ghanaians were sorely disappointed yesterday when several members of the Minority for some parochial and personal interest voted against the principled position adopted by the party.

I am also disappointed”, he said.

“Equally disappointing is the President’s refusal to seize the opportunity to realign and downsize his bloated government when the NPP flagbearer hopefuls and the Chieftaincy minister resigned”, he lamented.
