Let’s Unit to elect PM for Development of Mponua, and Stop Npp and Ndc fashion, – Hon. Salifu Karim to Assembly members

Hon. Salifu Karim, the Assemblyman for Mpasatia Electoral Area in the Mponua District of Ashanti has called on his colleague assembly members to come together to elect a Presiding Member to champion the development in the Mponua District of the Ashanti region and put aside their political differences.

According to him, it is inappropriate for assembly members to take stands for political purposes at the assembly level than the interests of the people who voted them to power to serve on their behalf to ensure development.

“I wish we could come together to choose someone who has the needed capacities of the aforementioned office to lead rather than the political gimmick played by some members in the interest of their parties”. Hon. Salifu Karim said this at the second Assembly sitting where they were not able to elect the presiding member for the Mponua District Assembly.

Hon. Ayine Akanpaga Samuel, the Assemblyman for Kyekyewere Electoral Area in the District on his side blames the leadership of Npp and his colleagues who are also members of Npp who have the majority number of elected members and the appointees for their failed leadership in the district assembly level.

According to him, no one is against development but it is because of their disappointed leadership and bad legacies some of them have displayed as NPP executives in the district assembly which should not be repeated by giving the power to wrong people to lead them.

“I think it’s time we take our time to elect a competent and credible person to lead as a presiding member and not who we like in order not to repeat past mistakes where elected leaders played their party rules in the district assembly”. Hon. Ayine Akanpaga Samuel added.
