Live streaming: Newsfile discusses Ghana’s lockdown and measures to prevent spread of coronavirus

President Akufo-Addo on Friday announced that movements in some urban areas in the country will be restricted from Monday, March 30, 2020, for two weeks as part of government’s measures to control the spread of the coronavirus.

Today on Newsfile, the panellists will assess the potential impacts of the latest decision on various sectors of the country.

Participating in this deliberation will be General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association Dr Justice Yankson, Complex Emergencies Expert and Fellow, IMANI-Africa Casely Ato Coleman, Economist and Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana, Prof Godfred Bokpin and Conflict Analyst and Member, of the Council on Foreign Relations-Ghana, Col. Festus Aboagye (Rtd).

The show will also assess the clinical issues and how to better deal with the coronavirus disease.

Discussants will be the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service Dr Patrick Aboagye, Physician, Public Health Consultant, Academic & Researcher at the University of Ghana Medical School and Respiratory Therapist at Montefiore Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, Prof Alfred Edwin Fiifi Yawson and Jibril Yahaya Luwaa .
