Mahama Pledges Support For Techiman South Shooting Victims

Former President John Dramani Mahama has assured the victims of the Techiman South shooting incident that he will support them if he becomes President.

Speaking at a campaign rally at Techiman in the Bono East Region, Mr. Mahama said the victims and their families deserve justice and support.

He expressed worry over the delay in investigating the shooting incident which occurred during the 2020 general elections, resulting in the death of two persons.

Mr. Mahama promised to set up a commission of inquiry to investigate the incident and ensure that justice is served if he wins the 2024 presidential election.

He also assured the people of Techiman and its surrounding communities of providing them with good roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.

The former President also hinted at providing opportunities for the youth in the area to acquire skills in vocational training.

He, therefore, urged the people to vote for him and the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area to bring about the needed development.
