Mahama Vows to Revive Agric Sector with Tractor Stations in Farming Communities

Former President John Dramani Mahama has promised to establish tractor stations in farming communities across the country if elected in the 2024 general elections.

According to him, the move is to mechanize agriculture and make farming easier for farmers.

Speaking at a campaign rally at Fumso in the Adansi Asokwa District of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Mahama said his government will also provide storage facilities for farmers to store their produce.

He added that his administration will also provide irrigation facilities to support farming activities in communities where rainfall is scarce.

Mr. Mahama also assured the people of Fumso and its surrounding communities of providing them with good roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.

The former President also hinted at providing opportunities for the youth in the area to acquire skills in vocational training.

He, therefore, urged the people to vote for him and the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area to bring about the needed development.
