Man, 25, kills 65-year-old Mother at Miaso

A 25-year-old man known as Labaran has allegedly killed and buried his mother Mame Gedo at a village called Pillar 10, a suburb of Miaso in Kwahu South District of the Eastern region.

According to an eyewitness, Insha Allahu, the suspect went to the farm with his mother on Saturday, 14th September but did not return with her. All efforts to locate the deceased proved futile.

Narrating the incident, he cited that the disappearance of the deceased angered the youth in the village to mount a thorough search since it was alleged the suspect had been threatening the mother on several occasions.

Speaking on Nkawkaw based radio station Agoo FM with Obaahemaa Yaa Mirekua, the eyewitness revealed that the body of Mame Gedo was found in their farm on Wednesday around 8:30am.

The body of the deceased was already in a decomposing state because it is believed she had been buried with her clothes under a heap of sand in the farm.

The suspect is currently in the grips of the Begoro Police Command aiding investigations.
