People are talking about an interesting story about a man who left his longtime girlfriend Sarah in the delivery room when he found out that the baby wasn’t his.
He said he found out the baby wasn’t his after six months of her being gone.
He said that he and Sarah had tried unsuccessfully to have a child until she got pregnant by accident, but he didn’t doubt it.
He was so happy that he had planned to propose on the day the baby was born. However, things went wrong, which shocked him so much that he took the action he did.
Here’s the whole story:
“My girlfriend just had our first child together. I know I’m not the father, and I told her that right after she gave birth.
I’m going to a bar soon, so I’ll try to keep this short.
I found out when she had been pregnant for about six months.
The guy, whose name was Bryan, came up to me at work. “Are you dating Sarah?” I told him yes and asked him what he wanted. He said he was sorry he slept with her and swore he didn’t know she was seeing someone else. I don’t believe that.
He then took out his phone to show them the texts they had sent and received. Since at least a year ago, they had been sleeping together or “linking up.” Then she found out she was pregnant, and they decided that the baby would just be mine. In exchange, she wouldn’t have to give up her perfect life, and he wouldn’t have to take care of a child.
I knew that was strange. We were having trouble getting pregnant, but then all of a sudden she was pregnant. But he said he had thought about it and that he had recently become a Christian. He said that he couldn’t live his life knowing that I was living a lie and that his child didn’t know who their real father was.
So yeah. I told him I’d stay in touch, and he told me not to worry about it. I’ve had much time. So yeah. I told him I’d stay in touch and not to say anything yet about what he said. I’ve had a lot of time to think about it, but in the end I decided to wait until she gave birth. To hurt her when she was the most weak.
I won’t go into too much detail, but she went into labor, gave birth to a baby, and then took the baby to the NICU to watch it for a while. What should’ve been a beautiful moment of me holding my baby, was the most heartbreaking time of my life. The fact that he wasn’t mine hurt me. Once she was stitched up and feeling better, I started to pack my things to leave.
She asked me where I was going, and I just told her.
“I know I’m not the father of baby’s name. You can pretend to be surprised, but I know. Just ask Bryan to come, and I’m sure he’ll sign the birth certificate.” Then I left.
She keeps calling my phone and even sending me texts as I type this. She has also gotten her sister to call me a few times.
It was hard pretending these last few months but I think I’m satisfied. Even so, I’m really, really sad. I planned to ask her to marry me on the day our child was born. I was going to make her the most happy woman in the world. Oh well. “I’m going to get drunk now.”
