Mensa-Bonsu, Kulendi, others to join Supreme Court bench

President Akufo-Addo has nominated Professor Henrietta J.A.N Mensa-Bonsu for consideration as a judge of the Supreme Court.

The respected criminologist and lecturer was nominated along with lawyer Yoni Kulendi, Justice Issifu Omoro Tanko Amadu and Clemence Hoenyenugah.

Professor Mensa-Bonsu who a member of the Short Commission which probed the Ayawaso electoral violence is known for her candidness and insight in the law. They will have to first pass parliamentary vetting.

The nominees will replace Justices Julius Ansah, Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe and Anthony Alfred Bennin who are due for retirement soon.
