Motorbike hits old man on Tema Motorway: Two in critical condition

Two people are said to be in a critical condition after a motor accident on the Tema Motorway, Friday.

According to reports, the motor rider was carrying two passengers when they run into an old man attempting to cross the road.

All four sustained various degrees of injuries but the rider and the old man suffered broken legs and head injuries.

Adom News’ reporter, Damte Tobiah, who was at the scene, said the three men on the motorbike are gardeners who were attending natures call when the unfortunate incident occurred.

He noted that, some police officers at the Formed Police Unit helped to transport the injured off the road for free flow of traffic.

After waiting for hours for an ambulance, the officers managed to get a private car to take the injured to the 37 Military Hospital for medical attention.

“Two of the injured were bleeding profusely so we had to stop a private vehicle to rush them to the 37 Military Hospital,” the police officer said.
