MP DAFEAMEKPOR DONATES A BRAND NEW TRACTOR & CORN SHELLERS TO FARMERS IN SOUTH DAYI.

As today, Friday, 1st December, 2023 marks the 39th National Farmers’ Day, South Dayi farmers sung a hallelujah chorus.

Praises and feeling of excitement were all over the farmers’ day event ground in the district capital Kpeve.
Why? Because,
the member of Parliament for South Dayi Constituency Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor Esq has put smiles on the faces of all farmers across the district by donating a brand new tractor and two corn shellers with their necessary accessories to farmers in the South Dayi District.

According to the Hon MP, this decision is to assist farmers to modernize and improve on their farming systems, in doing that, they’ll be able to produce more food stuffs and by so doing, eradicate poverty.

“Togbuiwo, Mamawo, I am for transformation, I am for progress, and I am development so as your MP, it’s my fervent desire to do more to bring similar opportunities to you, my people. The biggest opportunities are ahead. I will do more if H.E. John Dramani Mahama is elected as the next President of the Republic of Ghana and I go for the third term as your MP” Hon. Dafeamekpor said.

‘Ladies and gentlemen, I received several calls from farmers about how expensive fertilizer has become, about how expensive tractor services for farm clearing, has become. Majority hire tractors from the outskirts of the district at high cost”. So today, in response to those calls and cries by my farmers, I have brought you a fresh tractor and Maize shellers for renting at a heavily subsidized cost. If a farmer rents a tractor from outside South Dayi to prepare two acres of farm land for planting with an amount of GHC300.00 as the clearing cost, the tractor I have just donated to you will cost the farmers with GHC150.00 with the same two acres of farm lands.”, he said. This implies that farmers who need the services of the machine will only pay fifty percent (50%) of the fixed amount for every service. This is applicable to all equipments I donated, I thank you all for your cooperations” the distinguished law maker further said to a thunderous applause by the ecstatic farmers.

The crowd could not hide their excitement, they commended the MP for his continuous support in all sectors including health, education and agriculture across the Constituency.
