My Move To China Was Motivated By Money – Wakaso

Jiangsu Suning midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says money motivated his move to China.

The Ghana International made a switch from Spanish La Liga side Deportivo Alaves to Jiangsu Suning in the January Transfer window.

Wakaso’s transfer to China left everyone talking but the 29-year-old former Espanyol and Villarreal star says his move was motivated by money.

“The truth is one, I went to china because of money,” Wakaso told Angel TV.

“I consulted and got many suggestions when I asked people’s opinion about the china move, I decided to go there because of the money involved Aside from the money, am going to play football there.

“The Chinese want to develop their league hence all the big signings, so people should understand that football is been played at china.”

The midfielder has not been able to make an appearance for his new Club due to the suspension of the Chinese Super League.
