NDC disowns mobile phone thief at registration centre

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Awutu Senya West Constituency has disowned Prince Tenge who stole a Tecno Phone of an Electoral Commission at a Registration Center.

According to the Communications Officer of the Party in the Awutu Senya West who spoke to Accra-based Kasapa FM, Prince Tenge is not a card- bearing member of the NDC but just a party sympathizer.

According to him, Tenge was at the registration center on his own volition and was not an accredited agent of the political party.

He used the opportunity to condemn the act and called on the appropriate quarters to investigate and deal with the issue.

It could be recalled that MyNewsGh.com reported of an NDC party agent who got arrested after he stole a Tecno phone of an electoral officer.

According to the report, the electoral officer had left the phone to urinate because he was pressed. However, upon returning, he did not find the phone and that triggered a search of people who were present.

After the search, the phone was found in his pant. He told reporters that he had interest in the phone and that made him steal the phone.
