Ndc’s Bernard Ahiafor Supports Avenorpedo with bags of Cement, Cash and Computer

Mr. Bernard Ahiafor, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akatsi South Constituency, has promised the people of Avenorpedo 200 bags of cement and GH¢5000.00 as his contribution towards the construction of a fence wall around the EP school in the Avenorpedo township.

 

Hon. Bernard Ahiafor made the promise at a durbar to celebrate the Agbeliza Festival by the chiefs and people of Avenorpedo in the Akatsi South constituency of the Volta Region.

 

Mr. Ahiafor again donated GHS1000.00 cash towards the operationalization of the Avenorpedo computer laboratory.

 

The vice chairman of subsidiary and legislative committee and a member of judiciary and Education committees who represented the people of Akatsi south Constituency in the Parliament lauded the chiefs and people of Avenorpedo, Saying that, he is very happy for Avenorpedo putting all what he donated in the 2019 Agbeli Festival into a good use and called on other Communities to emulate.

 

He said education in the Constituency had been his prime focus, and therefore, called on the chiefs and the people of the area to make it a priority.

 

In his address,Mr. Ahiafor who was assured of his re-election and the Ndc’s presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama  thanked the God’s for the lives of the people and for a successful festival.

 

The festival, which was full of fun and excitement, enjoyed high patronage from natives of the town, both home and abroad, and from local and foreign tourists.

 

The atmosphere in the town before the durbar was very calm and relaxed when the Member of Parliament for Akatsi south Constituency stormed the ground, Mr. Justice Aheto, a native of Avenorpedo confirmed this to the media.

 

Although the chiefs and leaders of the area has praised the Member of parliament and the NDC Parliamentary Candidate of the Akatsi South Constituency, Dr justice Aheto of Avenorpedo,commended the MP for the assistance and called on benevolent organisations to lend their support towards the project.
