NIA postpones distribution of 3.8m Ghana cards

The National Identification Authority’s mass Ghana card distribution exercise which was scheduled for Monday, 8 June 2020, has been postponed to Wednesday, 10 June 2020.

The exercise will take place in all the 16 regions of Ghana.

The Authority said 3,875,441 printed cards will be issued to the applicants at some 5,635 registration centres.

After this round of card distribution, the NIA said the total number of Ghanaians who would have been served their cards will stand at 11,062,850.

This would help those with the Ghana card to register for their voter ID card or vouch for others without it to also register.
