The Northern Development Authority (NDA) formerly of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) is on the heels on individuals and organizations that procured tractors and tricycles under hire purchase but have refused to settle their indebtedness.
According an announcement placed on a number of media outlets, the agency is threatening to name and shame such persons or groups if they fail to make immediate arrangement and settle the amount owed within a stipulated period.
It is gathered that most tractors and tricycles under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration was given to Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) as well as individuals under an arranged payment plan which has been defaulted by these categories.
As a result the NDA placed an announcement promising to go after these persons if within a stated period they fail to avail themselves to ensure they purge themselves of debts.
The announcement which has been sighted by MyNewsGh.com reads” It is announced for the information of the General Public especially those who are indebted to the former Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) to make efforts in settling their indebtedness without further delay.
This particular announcement is in reference to individuals, groups or organizations that purchased tractors, hydraform bricks machines, corn shellers and motor tricycles to make the necessary arrangements to pay back what is owed the authority.
They should immediately liaise with the Northern Development Authority (NDA) formerly SADA accounts office in Tamale at Industrial Area for the necessary arrangements to clear their outstanding balances to avoid any embarrassment.
Names of defaulting customers would be published in the national dailies as well as other media outlets if they fail to settle what they owe within 14 days after this announcement”
