Nursing and Midwifery Council hunts for twerking Nurse in viral video

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwifery Council (GRNMC) is searching for the identity of a lady captured on video which has since gone viral on social media twerking in a nurse uniform.

The GRNMC said twerking in a professional uniform is “unacceptable conduct and a disgrace to our noble profession”.

“Such practices do not reflect the ethics, etiquette, and standards of our profession and therefore the GRNMA vehemently disassociates itself from the video,” a statement jointly signed by the Perpetual Oori-Ampofo and David Tenkorang-Twum President and General Secretary of the Council respectively said.

The Council noted that although the identity of the supposed nurse is not yet known, the issue has been referred to the Disciplinary Department for investigations to begin to identify her and proffer the needed sanctions on her.

The Council is calling on the public to assist them to identify the nurse. It said anyone with information can contact GRNMC public relations officers.
