Obama Endorses Joe Biden To Battle Trump For US 2020 Election

Former US President Barack Obama has offered his formal endorsement of Joe Biden on Tuesday, injecting himself squarely in the presidential race for the first time by urging Democrats across the party’s ideological spectrum to rally behind Biden and form a unified front to defeat President Donald Trump and win back the White House.

Obama, in clip lauded Biden’s character and resilience, touting him as the right kind of candidate to lead the country through a crisis like the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Obama said, “I’m proud to endorse my friend @JoeBiden for President of the United States. Let’s go:

“I’ll see you on the campaign trail as soon as I can.”

Meanwhile, United States Senator Bernie Sanders on Monday endorsed Joe Biden as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party.
