The Minister for Finance Ken Ofori-Atta, will today, Monday, 25 July 2022, present the mid-year Budget Statement to Parliament.
Mr Ofori-Atta who will be expected to give information on the performance of revenue and expenditure in the first half of 2022, and the figures for Ghana’s current budget deficit.
The Finance Minister will also be expected to officially touch on government’s engagement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) following his previous comments that the country would not be engaging Fund.
The Minister was initially scheduled to present the midyear Budget Statement on Wednesday, 13 July 2022.
However, due to engagements with the IMF after government’s decision to fall on the fund for a bailout, the midyear Budget Statement presentation was rescheduled.
