Okada Rider Dies in Deadly Crush with 2 Vehicles at Asuboi

An Okada Rider has died in a disastrous accident on the Asuboi stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highways in the Eastern Region.

The accident involves a Kia Truck with registration number GE 3013-13 and one Nissan Pick Up with registration number GW 5235-S and a motorbike with registration number M-20-ER-356.

Information collected shows the Pickup Vehicle burst a front tyre while heading towards Accra direction. The Kia Truck which was closely following the Pickup crashed into it.

The deceased who was on mobile phone coming from the opposite direction collided with the Pickup Vehicle which has veered off its lane to the pedestrian lane. The motorbike caught fire affecting the Pickup Vehicle but was extinguished without consuming the entire vehicle through the efforts of Officers from NADMO, Fire Service, Suhum Police Service, and National Ambulance Service – Ayensuano District.

The two other victims were sent to the same hospital for treatment.
