Only delegates electing our Presidential and Parliamentary candidates must cease – Jaman South Nasara Coordinator

The Jaman South constituency NPP Nasara Coordinator, Mr. Amadu Hadra (walab3ba), has urged the Party Leadership to consider a revised approach for their primaries in selecting presidential and parliamentary candidates.

He contends that the current system, where only delegates are tasked with voting to select presidential and parliamentary candidates, has sown discord within the party. This discord led to some members abstaining from voting, which culminated in the significant defeat of the NPP in the recent election. Therefore, he advocates for the party leadership to broaden the system, permitting all registered Party members to participate in the primaries.

In an interview with International Reporter Kwaku Fitaa, Mr. Godfred Tutu, Jaman South NPP constituency Vice Chairman, elucidated the factors that contributed to their triumph, securing the only parliamentary seat won in the Bono region.

He highlighted their persistent collaboration with Nananom to solicit prayers, guidance, and advice, along with a series of consensus-building efforts among party executives and members. This, coupled with diligent efforts, ensured their victory.
