An Open Letter to President John Dramani Mahama: A Call for Ministerial Recognition
DEAR MR. PRESIDENT,
I’m writing to bring to your attention the remarkable achievements of HON. MOHAMMED ADAMU RAMADAN, the Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency. As a constituent of Adentan, I’m compelled to express my admiration for HON. RAMADAN’S dedication and hard work.
HON. MOHAMMED ADAMU RAMADAN has made history by becoming the first MP to be re-elected in Adentan Constituency since 1992. His impressive track record includes defeating the sitting MP, Yaw Boaben Asamoa, in 2020 with a margin of 14,000 votes, and subsequently winning Akosua Manu in 2024 with a significant margin of 23,000 votes, according to the Electoral Commission’s website.
In contrast, HON. JOHN DUMELO, the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has been appointed as a deputy minister despite being a first-time parliamentarian. While we congratulate him on his achievement, it’s disheartening to note that HON. MOHAMMED ADAMU RAMADAN’S experience and hard work have not been recognized with a ministerial appointment
The NDC’s campaign slogan “vote for experience, not experiment” resonates with HON. RAMADAN’S achievements. It’s puzzling that his experience has not been valued with a ministerial position. I urge you, Mr. President, to reconsider this decision and acknowledge HON. RAMADAN’S contributions to the party and the nation.
We, the people of Adentan Constituency, call on you to meet our demands and recognize HON. RAMADAN’S deserving ministerial position.
Thank you, Mr. President.
Yours faithfully,
ƆPANYIN ERIC WIREKO
