Oyoko Traditional Stool Gone Missing At Seikwa Traditional Council Palace, Adehyepanin goes wild looking for it

The Oyoko Traditional Stool at the Seikwa Traditional Council had gone Missing when opened the throne room after 6 years of locking it, after the demise of the late Seikwa manhene, Nana Kwaku Dwumah Ankoana II.

The Oyoko Royal family, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the late Nana Kwaku Dwumah Ankoana II saw 2 of their traditional stools missing from the throne room which was locked 6 years ago.

According to the Abusuapanin of the Oyoko Royal family, Adehyepanin Kwadwo Asubonteng, when there was the decision to lock the throne room, he insisted not to allow the room to be locked but was forcefully locked by some elders of the traditional council and the Tain District Security Committee (DiSEC).

“I told them (the DiSEC) not to lock the room due to some traditional rites we’ll perform, but they insisted and locked it, I got the information a few weeks ago which says 2 of the traditional stools belonging to the Oyoko Royal Family are missing, I was shocked to hear that but I did nothing until the traditional leaders sent messengers, including the traditional priest officially to inform me about the missing stools” the Adehyepanin narrated.

According to reports confirmed by the Abusuapanin Kwadwo Asubonteng, when he visited the throne room to verify the report, it was true the withheld stools which are acme and play a greater role at the traditional palace were missing and there should be an exigency to find them.

In the cause of finding the missing stools, the Adehyepanin and his entourage stormed to the Seikwa river deity to pour libation to find the culprits.

In addition to the missing stools, they found out that the late Nana Kwaku Dwumah Ankoana’s grave was tampered with.

“Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the late Nana Kwaku Dwumah with these unmemorable acts has caused the Oyoko Royal family in a state of much bitter grief”, Nana Kwadwo Asubonteng bemoaned to Appiah-Kubi on the one-on-one encounter.

The issue has been reported to the Tain district police and investigations are ongoing.
