Sama’ila Tsiwa, a palace guard, was fired by the Zazzau Emirate Council in Kaduna State because he is accused of raping a woman.
In a statement released Wednesday, Abdullahi KwarbaI, the Emir’s Media and Publicity Officer, said, “Sama’ila Abubakar Rimin Tsiwa, a palace guard, has been fired immediately from the Zazzau Emirate Council for raping a woman who was on a mission to the palace.”
According to the statement, the woman was getting ready for her wedding and came to the guard to ask for help from the Emir. The guard tricked her into coming with him.
Kwarbai said that instead of taking the woman to the Emir, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Rimin Tsiwa led her to a place where he and his friends raped her all at once.
In the statement, it was said that the council had told the police to speed up their investigations and make sure that the people who did wrong were brought to justice.
The council said it would keep an eye on the case to make sure that justice was done.
