Police opens recruitment process; cautions against fraudsters

The Ghana Police Service has cautioned the public to be wary of some persons who claim to have links with high-ranking officers and dupe persons interested in being recruited into the service.

The caution follows the invitation of applicants from the 2016/2017 recruitment application process to continue its recruitment.

In a brief shared via its Facebook page, the police said, it is sending the invitations via emails provided earlier by the applicants and “applicants who will be contacted by the Police Service will be directed to report to the National Police Headquarters, Accra for further interactions.”

It said some unscrupulous persons may try to take advantage of the development to defraud unsuspecting Ghanaians must the public must be alert and desist from paying money to anyone in attempt to get recruited.

The General Public should be aware that some unscrupulous persons may want to take a dvantage of this exercise to defraud them. Under no circumstance should anybody pay money or part with any valuable item on the promise that he/she will be recruited into the Ghana Police Service.

It also urged the public to report anyone who requests for money with a promise of guarantee recruitment to the police for action to be taken against such a person.

Anybody who is asked to pay money for Police recruitment should report the person requesting for payment to the nearest Police Station or call 191 or 18555 to make a report.
