I have never been an NPP member — Dr. Browne Klutse

Dr. Nana Ama Browne Klutse has affirmed that she has never been a New Patriotic Party sympathiser, adding that allegations were only being peddled against her by some NPP members who feels threatened by her popularity.

At the centre of the allegations is the incumbent Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Hon. Elvis Morris Donkoh whom have strongly been accused of political logrolling.

In an interview with mypurefmonline.com, Dr. Mrs. Klutse stated that ‘what they are doing is just to sway the attention of the delegates, vetting committee and party members just to get me out of the race. [But] Thankfully I’ve gone through the vetting process successfully’.

Also reacting to the allegations, she indicated that party executives in the constituency invited her for questioning upon information of her affiliation to the NPP.

“I was questioned by party executives on my membership with the NPP, and i stated emphatically that I’ve never been a member. Interestingly, my accusers did not make the facts available to us, they couldn’t find evidence to show. This clearly depicts a desperate MP who is trying every means possible to avoid a lose early enough, knowing very well that i can win and contest him. Honestly they were just being unfair to me” She said.

Ahead of the vetting, there were rumor of an agenda to disqualify her from contesting.

However, on Thursday, July 25, 2019, Dr. Nana Ama Brown Klutse was successfully vetted and cleared to contest.
