President Mahama Set to Deliver Inaugural State of the Nation Address on February 27

President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to deliver his inaugural State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025, before the esteemed members of Parliament. This forthcoming address was formally confirmed during a parliamentary sitting, wherein Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga divulged that the Presidency had conveyed its readiness to present the address, contingent upon Parliament’s availability.

Ayariga succinctly stated, “The office of the President has also communicated that the State of the Nation Address, if Parliament is available, can be presented on the 27th of February.”

This highly anticipated address promises to be a seminal moment, as it will elucidate the administration’s paramount policies, governance priorities, and the overall state of the nation.

Furthermore, the government’s 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy will be presented on Monday, March 11, 2025. This presentation will delineate the fiscal strategies and economic plans for the year ahead, providing invaluable insights into the government’s vision for Ghana’s economic development and prosperity.
