Akropon Akuapim, Sakyiabea Royal Family dismiss publication by some media houses.

The Sakyiabea Royal Family of Akropong AKUAPIM in the Eastern region has dismissed an online publication on starfm.com and ghanaweb.com that claim that Nana Obuobi Atiemo II (Odehye Kwasi Akuffo) is carrying himself as Okuapehene.

When the critical matter of selection, election and nomination of an Odehye fit and proper to mount the Ofori Stool of Akropong as directed by the judicial committee of the national house of chiefs in a judgement dated 26th September,2022 affirming the judgement of the Eastern Regional House of chiefs that the entire customary process culminating in the nomination of a suitable candidate to mount the Ofori Stool be done de novo.

That so far there have been two meetings of the mmeampaninfo ie, Female senior Royals of the Sakyiabea Royal Family.

All two meetings have affirmed the selection of Nana Obuobi Atiemo II (Odehye Kwasi Akuffo).

The videos showing on social media are at the funeral of Odehye Gladys Abena Otema Ohene, one of the senior female royal of the family and mother of Nana Obuobi Atiemo II.

We deny any wrong doing.

We appeal to the president Nana Akuffo Addo to as a matter of respect back off from AKUAPIM CHIEFTANCY AFFAIRS to let peace prevail in Okuapeman.
