The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has instructed Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca to pay $70,000 compensation to Ghanaian international Awal Mohammed to settle unpaid salaries during his stay at the club.
The center-back spent time with the African giants between 2015 to 2016 before he was shown the exit door on an unfriendly basis.
He was just one of a few players whose contracts were unlawfully terminated without any form of compensation whatsoever.
Having taken up the matter to world football governing body FIFA, Mohammed Awal has won the case and is now expected to be paid every penny owed by Raja Casablanca.
Other players set to receive compensation are Morocco’s Adel Karrouchi and Nigeria’s Osagona.
In the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, Mohammed Awal who has played for Asante Kotoko, as well as Arsenal Tula in the past, is expected to receive his cash.
