The Assembly Member aspirant for Maaban, Asenie Electoral Area at Atwima Nwabiagya North District in the Ashanti Region has highlighted the need to rekindle the spirit of communal Labour in our communities as Ghanaians for development.
According to Ebenezer Yeboah popularly known as Akumaden individual Ghanaians should not underscore the little contributions from their efforts towards the nation’s development such as clean-up exercise that promotes a good environment for healthy living.
He urged Ghanaians to have the zeal for communal labor and partake in the exercise when the community organizers such activities.
In an interview, he said Ghanaians should not always expect assembly members alone to work to their satisfaction but rather give them their support to enable them to achieve the best.
“It’s very sad when these same assembly members call for communal labor; most of the citizens don’t show up, but they want development. How can that be possible?” He asked.
He made this revelation when he organized communal labor to weed the roadside and distillation gutters within the Barekese township and its environs.
According to him, he organized communal labor to help keep the environment clean and safe for healthy living.
