The Deputy Director of the Public Relations unit of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr Kwaku Darko Afari, has confirmed to Class News that the Authority’s Tema office was broken into on Tuesday, 8 October 2019.
He told Class91.3FM’s mid-day news 12Live on Thursday that the police command in Tema has opened investigations into the incident.
The armed robbers, according to Class News sources, scattered the office and made away with some documents, computers and other electrical equipment.
The raid occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 10 October 2019. Mr Afari said the robbers overpowered the security guards that man the office. Customers who visited at the Authority subsequently were left stranded as all activities ground to a halt
