SAD VIDEO: Adugyama SHS student burnt to death in a house fire

Disheartening information gathered by Filasconews.com on Saturday, July 6, 2022, indicated that, a first year student of Adugyama Senior High School in Ashanti Region has burnt to death.

Stephen Agyekum, in his 18, met his untimely demise in a fire outbreak at Kronum Cement-Mu on Saturday, July 6, 2022.

However, the assembly member of the area, Hon. Elvis Nyantakyi a.k.a Yes Madam confirmed the incident on Omanbapa morning show chaired by Nana Kwabena Ampratwum today, July 8, 2022, in a telephone interview.

Explaining how the student got burnt, Hon. Nyantakyi said, Stephen Agyekum, now deceased, together with some townfolks attempted rescuing the wife of the landlord stucked inside.

In the process, the first year student got trapped by the smoke of the fire, killing him.

His charred body was discovered after the quenching of the fire by the Fire Service.

He disclosed that, it took the fire officers over ten hours to douse the fire.

Meanwhile, the Regional Public Relations Officer for Ghana Fire Service who doubles as the Safety Officer, DO3 Peter Addai has said, the cause of the fire is not immediately known.

He assured in an interview that, the service will come out the cause of the incident as soon as they are done with their investigations.
