Nigeria has announced a jailbreak at the Kuje Maximum Prison in Abuja.

This happened on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

According to reports, the Jihadist group Boko Haram is linked to the attack that saw 443 inmates out of 879 escape.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian security agencies have given a strong indication that 64 of the inmates who have escaped have links with the Jihadist group Boko Haram.

Ghana’s Immigration Service has warned that it is possible some of these jailbreakers will enter Ghana through unapproved routes.
