Shatta Wale set a new record as he became the first and only African artist to reach #1 on the iTunes reggae albums chart (USA ) with the ‘#MaaliAlbum’. This makes Shatta Wale the first and only African artist to achieve this milestone.
The album, which was influenced by his current girlfriend, MAALI, comes with 10 tracks. The tracks are Taking It, Inner Real Life, They Will Know, Heartless, Did My Time, African Kylie, Killa Weapon, richer than last year, Show Me, and Mansa Musa ft. Vybz Kartel. With its full lineup of dancehall tracks, MAALI is geared towards Shatta Wale’s loyal fans, dancehall enthusiasts, and the Caribbean market.
The amazing part of the album is that the African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, featured only one artist, Vybz Kartel, showcasing his individual artistry and talent. He featured Worl Boss on the album because he is his inspiration, the icon he looks up to.
