During the BBNaija Season 9 housemates’ speed-dating session, Shaun explained why he went for Wanni instead of Nelly.

He said that though he had spoken with Nelly as soon as they entered the House, but he likes women who would make the first move in declaring their interests.

“I like girls that initiate first, like they will tell you, ‘I like you’ straight,” Shaun told Micky, admitting that although there was some energy between him and Nelly, she didn’t make the first move, so he had to go after Wanni instead, who made a point to approach him indirectly.

Micky said that he had seen a few bright, very promising signs between Shaun and Wanni, which hinted that she is good at being a partner.
