A first-year Senior High School (SHS) student has been stabbed dead following “a slight misunderstanding”, eyewitnesses narrated.
The suspect, identified as only Gideon, who lives in the same house with the deceased (name withheld), had since been apprehended.
Reports emerging from the corridors of the police said the suspect would be arraigned in the coming days to face the laws of the state.
The sad incident reportedly happened at Tafo-Ahenbronun, a suburb of the Tafo-Pankrono municipality, over the weekend.
According to reports, the now-deceased person and his brother had a slight understanding over money around 10 pm in their house.
The suspect, 19, reportedly complained that the deceased and his brother were making noise. They then engaged in a scuffle, leading to the victim being stabbed.
Immediately after committing the heinous crime, the suspect took to his heels, perhaps to avert being arrested to face the law.
The stabbed teenager, said to be 17 years old, was rushed to the Tafo Government Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After a strenuous search, the police managed to grab Gideon, who is currently being processed to court to face the law.
