Ghanaian radio personality Papa Sly who made a name for himself in the radio industry has for the first time opened up on the reason which led to him leaving Ghana for the United State when things were getting better for him in Ghana.
According to Papa Sly, he started receiving threats on his life from some big personalities in the political fraternity who were against his stand on issues and the only option he had was to just move out of the country for his safety sake.
Speaking during an interview monitored by Mynewsghana he stated that, he got threatened to the point that thugs were sent to beat him whiles he also had faeces been poured in his car as a warning.
He further went ahead to state that he was very lucky to have had a 5-year visa in his passport which helped him get out of the country immediately he felt unsafe in his own homeland.
“I looked at all the horrible situations I was going through because I was tagged NPP. So I had to escape from Ghana for fear of my life. Lucky for me I had a 5-year visa in my passport so I just left the country. I was doing good in Ghana but when I realised my life was at stake I had to go leave”
According to him, whatever he did was business for him but people didn’t see it as he saw it because for him it was about making the money and nothing else but people misunderstood him.
