Horace Ekow Ewusi, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North Constituency, has categorically denied allegations that his team seized a DRIP machine from a project site, contrary to reports by Sompa FM’s central regional correspondent, Eric Annan.
Ekow Ewusi’s office dismissed the rumors as false and malicious, attributing them to Mr. Kwamena Minta, the current MP, who allegedly seeks to tarnish Ekow Ewusi’s reputation due to his looming loss in the upcoming elections.
In a statement, Ekow Ewusi’s office urged the public to disregard the false reports and treat them with contempt it’s deserved.
Ekow Ewusi emphasized that he has never seized any equipment, and the circulating claims hold no truth. The office also cautioned individuals against spreading unverified information that could mislead the public.
Notably, Sompa FM’s central regional correspondent ,Eric Annan has apologized for the misleading story and promised to remove the link to promote peace and tranquility.
This development comes amidst Ekow Ewusi’s rising popularity, having won the NPP parliamentary primary in Cape Coast North. With the elections nearing, tensions are escalating in the constituency, as evidenced by the recent vandalism of Ekow Ewusi’s campaign billboards and banners.
