Etoile du Sahel sack head coach Juan Carlos Garrido; set to pay $890,000 as compensation

Tunisian giants Etoile du Sahel have sacked head coach Juan Carlos Garrido with immediate effect following a poor run of results recently.

The Coastal Stars have managed to pick just a point from the last five league games leaving them 18 points behind leaders Espérance de Tunis.

Etoile du Sahel could miss out on CAF Champions League or Confederation Cup place for the very time in 25 years.

Recently the Spanish trainer has been complaining about how the club is being administered after players went striking over unpaid salaries and others.

Garrido is expected to earn around $890,000 as compensation following his sack.

Etoile du Sahel have been drawn against Wydad Athletic Club in quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.
