Manhyia denies $30m Kotoko Stadium project

The Manhyia Palace has denied securing a 30 million facility to fund the construction of a stadium for Asante Kotoko.

Reports in the Ghanaian media in the past couple of days suggested that the Life Patron and Owner of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II had secured funds for the construction of a stadium but a source at the Palace has denied the story to Starr FM Sports.

“There is no truth in that report, disregard it accordingly,” the source said.

Asante Kotoko has been using the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for its home matches since it was built.
