Stephen Appiah to feature in fundraising match for Australia wildfire

Ghanaian legend Stephen Appiah has been named among top football stars that will feature in the upcoming ‘May’s Football For Fires’ fundraiser at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.

The Australia fire has been described as the worst wildfires seen in decades. So far large swaths of the country have been destroyed with more than 3,000 homes also destroyed in the process.

Since the devastating outbreak hit the country, there have been several organizations and philanthropists making donations to the country to support the victims.

A football match has now been arranged to raise funds to offer additional support. A total of 19 players outside Australia has been named to play in the game.

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has been included with Ivorian legend Didier Drogba headlining that list.
