Stop Giving Free Fuel Coupons To MPs, Deputy Ministers, Deputy CEO and reserve it for our security services – Nana Kweku Ofori Atta

The upcoming shortage of fuel is going to be a security threat on our security services operations, health sector, Navy, military and fire services. Generally it’s going to affect our economy seriously.

It will create serious problems which government can’t solve.Government have to act quickly on that threat.

Free fuel should be reserved to the security services so that  the ordinary Ghanaian who doesn’t have money can also benefits from in times of high fuel shortage.

The health service in Ghana is one of the major institution which I can says we all benefits from.

Using the ambulance service as my first example, if there is a huge fuel shortage at the ambulance service, how many MPs or deputies  and ministers will allow their V8 cars to be used for driving sick people to the hospital? Nana Ofori Atta questioned.

The fire service needs to carry water to fire bond areas, Ghana fire service is also one of the major benefits institution to Ghanaians. So if there’s  fuel shortage at the various fire stations, how will the poor Ghanaian survive with fire issues?

Already the fire service has problems with water.

MPs, Deputies  and ministers are employees to the country and each of them are on the government pay roll with different kinds of allowances such as weekend and monthly allowance and yet still they enjoy free fuel.

There are 275 MPs In the country and more than 30 deputy CEOs and deputy ministers, if government allow them to buy fuel at their own cost am sure the free fuel can be reserved for our security services.

This to minimize a wage bills on the neck of government to sustain certain things to enhance our economy.
