Read More »Nana Afena Ameyaw I reaffirms commitment to youth education at Yam FestivalThe Chief of Old Ayinabrim, Nana Afena Ameyaw I, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the youth in attaining quality education, stressing that his doors and that of the Ayinabrim Traditional Council remain open to needy but brilliant students in the community. Nana Afena Ameyaw I made this pledge during the celebration of his yam festival on Sunday, September 1, 2025, at his palace. He first made similar comments weeks earlier during his outdooring ceremony, noting that education is the cornerstone of community development. As part of the Yam Festival celebrations, Nana Afena Ameyaw I urged the people of Ayinabrim and Techiman at large to use the occasion to uphold peace, unity, love, and peaceful coexistence. According to him, sustaining these values would accelerate the pace of development in the area “First of all, I thank the Almighty God for granting us this day and making the celebrations a success. I also extend my gratitude to all loved ones from far and near who graced the occasion, we could not have made it without them. “I urge my people, and Techiman at large, to use this opportunity to uphold the peace, unity, love, and peaceful coexistence we have witnessed here today. I believe that if we continue in this spirit, we will be able to develop our community at a rapid pace.” He stated. The Chief of Old Ayinabrim seized the occasion to call on the youth to make a conscious effort to pursue quality education, noting that he and his elders are ready to assist those who face financial challenges. “Education is very important, and as I always say whenever I get the opportunity, the youth should make a conscious effort to attain quality education. Even if it reaches a point where it becomes financially difficult to continue, they should inform me and my elders, and we will find a way to support them. “I know the value of education it can open many doors for the youth. Those who are into artisanship should also take their training seriously, because the trade they are learning today has the potential to make them successful in the future.” He said He further reminded the youth that life is a gradual process and cautioned them not to rush, but to remain patient and focused in their pursuits. “Life is a gradual process, and I want the youth to understand this and not rush through life.” Source: Elvisanokyenews.net
