Two brothers nabbed for motorcycle theft

Two brothers of same parents who allegedly specialize in snatching motorcycles have been apprehended in Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta state.

The suspects identified as Chuks Kalu and Uchenna Kalu, who hail from the eastern part of the country, were nabbed this week by the Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps led by Mr. Moses Efamehule in Ika North East LGA.

Chuks Kalu, who claims to be a Levite (pastor) in one of the white garment churches in Owerre-Olubor was apprehended after he successfully attacked and made away with a victim’s motorcycle, but luck ran against him when his phone fell off his pocket. He confessed that his younger brother, Uchenna Kalu was an accomplice.

Three stolen motorcycles were recovered from them, including the motorcycle of the victim through whom their criminal activities were brought to limelight. The suspect had removed the plate number and put his own.

The suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
