Two killed in weird motorbike accidents

Two persons died Tuesday afternoon after two motorcycles crashed into a cargo truck in separate accidents at Asuom in the Eastern region.

The first incident occurred after 11: am on the Asuom-Twapease road when a motorcycle barreled into a moving truck loaded with bamboo sticks.

A few hours after the driver had parked his vehicle along the road and was assisting police to unravel circumstances that led to the incident, another motorcycle crashed into the same truck killing the rider instantly.

The passenger on the motorcycle sustained severe injuries and was taken to the Kade Government Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses attributed the incident to poor visibility on the dusty road under construction.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Kade Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
