Ugandan police arrest 20 suspects in connection with school massacre

Twenty individuals have been apprehended by Ugandan authorities for their alleged involvement in a school massacre, as reported by the police.

Among those arrested are the head teacher and the school’s director, suspected of collaborating with Islamist militants who carried out the attack on Friday.

The tragic incident took place at Lhubiriha Secondary School in Mpondwe, located in western Uganda, resulting in the loss of 42 lives, primarily students. Many of the victims perished in a dormitory fire.

The Ugandan army continues its pursuit of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) militants, who are believed to have retreated across the border into the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where they maintain their base.
