Ukraine: Infant, 121 Nigerians arrive from Poland

Following the Russia-Ukraine war, another batch of Nigerians have been evacuated from Poland, where they sought refuge, to their home country.

The 122 Nigerians, including an infant, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, at about 1:12am on Friday.

This was announced in the early hours of Friday by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission on their verified Twitter page.

NiDCOM tweeted, “The second flight of evacuation comprising 122 persons plus an infant from Warsaw, Poland arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport today Friday, 11th March, 2022 at about 1:20am aboard Air Peace.

“1,199 have been evacuated so far from Ukraine.

“Returnees are also getting a free SIM card loaded with 5,000 Naira airtime to allow them reach their family members courtesy of a partnership between NiDCOM and MTN, and 100 dollars transport fare from the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
