Upper East Regional Minister Chooses Sex over Mahama’s 24-Hour Economy

The Upper East Regional Minister Mr. Stephen Yakubu says former President Mahama’s 24-hour economy will have an impact on family nighttime sex drives.

According to him, the 24-hour Economy policy announced by former president John Dramani Mahama would not allow them to sleep with their wives, and urged the people of the Upper East region to reject it.

The Minister was delivering a speech on behalf of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the 2023 Sekote Tenglebgre Festival by the Chiefs and People of Sekoti in the Nabdam District.

“The vice president is saying that he understands the region. He says this 24-hour economy, my brothers; when we work in our farms and we are tired we have to sleep with our wives ooo. We have to be with our wives ooo.” the regional minister.

“In the night you want us to go and be farming and then people will come and take our wives away? Naa, chairman we have to be careful with this 24-hour thing ooo.” He added.

Mahama’s ‘24-hour economy’ proposal has been touted by many experts, including the general secretary of Ghana’s Trade Union Congress (TUC), Anthony Yaw Baah, as a ‘game changer’.

They say it is aimed at helping solve Ghana’s unemployment challenge.

Some Ghanaians, mostly from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), including the presidential candidate of the party, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, however, are not so enthused about the former president’s proposal.

They also argue that the policy is not novel because it is already being implemented in some sectors of Ghana’s economy and accuse Mahama of not understanding his policy proposal.
